Dodgeball Alberta Joins Forces with Sport Calgary for All Sport One Day Event

Are you ready to throw, catch, and dodge your way to a day of excitement? Dodgeball Alberta is thrilled to announce free dodgeball sessions for youth aged 6-14 on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Genesis Centre as part of Sport Calgary's All Sport One Day event! This is a perfect chance for kids to dive into the fun and dynamic world of dodgeball while improving their skills in a friendly, social environment.

What is All Sport One Day?

All Sport One Day is an initiative organized by Sport Calgary aimed at encouraging kids to discover different sports through no-cost, introductory sessions. With over 40 sports represented, this event aims to foster a love for physical activity among youth. In 2022, more than 1,200 children participated, experiencing a range of sports while promoting fitness and teamwork.

Sport Calgary's All Sport One Day event is a tremendous way for kids to discover new sports.

Free Dodgeball Sessions: What to Expect!

Dodgeball Alberta's engaging sessions will begin at 9:45 AM and run until 3 PM, offering one-hour slots throughout the day. Sessions are organized by age groups: 6-8 years and 9-14 years. During each session, young players will cultivate key skills such as throwing, catching, and dodging. Coaches will explain the World Dodgeball Federation (WDBF) rules and then participants will have ample time to scrimmage, helping them put learned skills to the test in a competitive yet supportive environment.

Items to Bring

Parents should prepare their children for an action-packed day! Each participant should arrive with:

• Indoor gym shoes for safe play

• A filled water bottle to stay hydrated

• Optionally, a pair of kneepads for extra comfort during games

  
  

Who Can Participate?

All kids aged 6-14 are invited to join Dodgeball Alberta’s free sessions. Whether they have prior experience or are completely new to dodgeball, this event is perfectly tailored to accommodate varying skill levels. It’s a fantastic opportunity for kids to meet new friends, develop sporting skills, and, most importantly, have fun!

How to Register

To join in the dodgeball fun, kids need to register for their respective age groups (6-8 years or 9-14 years).
