Assistant Coach - Womens

I see myself as the Ted Lasso of Dodgeball. I don’t come to the sport with deep knowledge but I come from a background of coaching football. My approach is rooted in a genuine love for the sport, based on my love for my wife who is an established Team Canada player, and a desire to truly make a difference for the athletes and the program. I'm anticipating a fantastic season showcasing the best of Alberta dodgeball as I step into the Assistant Coach role for the Alberta Women's Team.

My commitment to fostering a supportive and developing environment is grounded in my recent coaching journey as the assistant coach for 'Requiem,' an AWCD Program team that proudly secured a Top 12 finish nationally and stood as Women’s Alberta Team 3 this last season. This experience solidified my belief that coaching itself is a dedicated practice—one built patiently over time through continuous learning, practical application, and thoughtful reflection, ultimately cultivating mastery and resilience in athletes and oneself.

Bringing this philosophy and experience to the Alberta Women's Team is an incredible honour, especially given the province's legacy as a consistent powerhouse in producing top-tier players and teams recognized on both national and world stages. My vision involves integrating data analytics to sharpen our strategic edge, coupled with respect-based coaching methods designed to empower each player. I am confident that this approach will bring significant value as we prepare to compete at the highest level and continue to highlight Alberta's exceptional talent.
