Joshua Sakura

Hi, I’m Joshua Sakura, Huestis, if you prefer. I recently moved to Calgary, Alberta, and I’m thrilled to be part of this vibrant and competitive dodgeball community.

I’ve been playing dodgeball for over 13 years and currently compete with Saiyan Elite DC. For the past four years, I’ve also had the privilege of coaching Reckless, an elite women’s team from Ontario, to provincial and national championships.

In 2024, I was honored to serve as an assistant coach for the Canadian Women’s National Team, helping them secure their third world title and second consecutive championship.

My vision for Womens Team Alberta this year is to harness the incredible talent already present in the province and foster a culture of growth, resilience, and confidence. With the right support and direction, I believe Alberta is poised to make a serious impact on the national stage.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this journey and look forward to making our province proud.
